ELECTROLYSIS PRICES & LENGTH OF TIME TO BOOK
Electrolysis is the only hair removal method recognized by the FDA and the American Medical Association as permanent. It is safe and effective for all skin tones, hair colors, and treatment areas.
Electrolysis works by directing a very small electrical current into the natural opening of the hair follicle using a fine probe. This process destroys the cells responsible for hair growth, preventing the hair from growing back.
Because electrolysis treats each hair individually, it is effective on all hair types—including light, gray, red, and fine hairs that laser hair removal cannot always treat.
The number of treatments needed varies from person to person and depends on several factors, including:
• Hair thickness
• Hormonal influences
• Age
• Previous hair removal methods
• Hair growth cycles
Consistency is one of the most important factors for success. Clients typically visit weekly or every other week until the hair in the treatment area has been permanently eliminated. As treatments progress, hair becomes finer, softer, and less dense. Over time, appointments often become shorter and less frequent.
Once the treatment cycle is complete, the treated follicles are permanently destroyed.
Preparing for Your Appointment
For the most effective treatment, hair should be at least ¼ the length of a grain of rice so it can be properly treated with electrolysis. Please avoid shaving immediately before your appointment so the hair can be treated effectively.
Choosing the Right Appointment Length
The amount of time you should book depends on how much hair is present in the treatment area. Your first appointment is an estimate, and once we complete your initial treatment we will have a better idea of the appropriate appointment length for future visits.
General guidelines:
15 minutes – approximately 30 hairs or fewer
30 minutes – approximately 60 hairs
45 minutes – larger treatment areas or heavier hair growth
If you are unsure how much time to book, you are welcome to call or text a photo of the area and we will help guide you to the appropriate appointment length. Because treatments are charged by the minute, you can also choose the amount of time that fits your budget. As hair in one area clears, many clients choose to begin treating additional areas.
